The Equinoxes demonstrate balance, the breathing of life through contraction as well as expansion. The light of day and dark of night are equal forces tonight. Indeed, Mabon falls on the astrological date of the sun entering Libra — the Scales of Balance.
Being balance is being in harmony. Just as the yearly wheel continues to turn, so too does the process of finding balance. This is not a static state of being but rather an ongoing exploration that will look different for each of us moment to moment.
For me, the crisp air mixed with the closeness of the sun brings a new sense of grounding invigoration. I feel my most vibrant Self. Then, as we head deeper into the darker, wet months I’m presented with the opportunity for slowness. Not my strong suit, which can be a clear indication of where I need to lean into for more balance in that season.
