About the Event
Oregon is lush with a variety of wild herbs that grow all around us.
On Monday, May 15, join local herbalist, Kassaundra Lynn, for a stroll around Alton Baker Park for a leisure herb walk. We'll meet a handful of herbs that grow throughout the park, and possibly in your own backyard. Getting to know the plants around you can provide a more enriching experience of the outdoors.
On this walk, you'll learn:
-How to identify a handful of medicinal plants
-The energetics and herbal actions of each plant
-Ways to work with the plants
You'll also receive an overview of all the plants we met on the walk that will be sent out the week following the herb walk.
What to bring:
-Snacks (if needed)
-Pen & Notebook
We'll meet at the parking lot next to Alton Baker Dog Park, off Leo Harris Parkway. Please reach out to Kassaundra if you have any questions or concerns, or need to carpool.
*Although dogs are welcome at Alton Baker, please leave your pups at home for the herb walk.
