Time & Location

Portland, 3954 N Williams Ave, Portland, OR 97227, USA

About the Event

Tinctures are herbal extractions made using alcohol or a water/alcohol blend as the solvent/menstruum. Many herbalists consider alcohol to be the best solvent because it retains the plant's physical and energetic essence.

In this class, you'll learn the difference between the folk method and the scientific method for making a tincture. Using the folk method, we will experiment with using both fresh and dried herbs so you can experience the difference between the two preparations.
